Lord Huron was founded in 2010 by Los Angeles-based artist Ben Schneider. After writing and recording two EPs (Into the Sun and Mighty) on his own, demand for Lord Huron's live shows grew.
Schneider recruited his friends Mark Barry (percussion), Miguel Briseño (bass) and Tom Renaud (guitar). The group, who had first played music together at the tender age of 12, quickly reunited and transformed the solo project into a full-fledged live band.
Lord Huron's debut LP Lonesome Dreams was released in 2012, followed by Strange Trails in 2015. The latter included the multi-platinum single The Night We Met, which became one of the 40 most streamed songs of all time on Spotify. In 2018, Lord Huron earned critical acclaim and a top 5 debut on the US Billboard Top 200 with their third album, Vide Noir.
Lord Huron's latest LP, Long Lost, has been praised by media outlets such as NPR, Time, Los Angeles Times, Spin and Stereogum, and has led to appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Late Show with James Corden and CBS This Morning.
The band's extensive touring includes headline shows at some of the most famous venues in the US and at renowned festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and many more.
