Taken from the scruffy and edgy new album Squish, Gretel’s Fire blooming trees swirls with euphoria. The sound feels as though it’s been rough-hewn with a plane rather than polished with a sander. But that’s precisely what makes it so good, creating a wonderful counterpoint to Gretel’s defiantly clear voice.
