Zurich's Bogen F slowly filled with people gathering beneath its massive stone arch, buzzing with the anticipation of a sold-out night. The French band Mascara opened the night with an immersive set, their atmospheric sound gradually settling into the room.

As This Will Destroy You took the stage, the first incense sticks were lit. Thin trails of smoke drifted through the dimly lit venue, adding another layer to an already immersive setting. Rather than putting together a conventional setlist, the band performed two full records: Young Mountain followed by Another Language. It wasn't a collection of singles or crowd favourites, but two complete journeys, experienced exactly as they were written.
Without a single word being spoken or sung, This Will Destroy You let the music do all the talking. Long, slow intros built into shimmering guitars and expansive soundscapes, taking their time before revealing their full intensity. Looking around the room, it was hard not to notice people standing with their eyes closed, completely lost in the music.
For most of the set, the band's name almost felt misleading. The music remained gentle, patient and deeply atmospheric. Only during the final third did everything open up. Layers of guitars, powerful drums, and towering walls of sound transformed the calm into something overwhelming.
