Switzerland’s musical creativity is represented by 20 bands at this year’s Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany. It is one of Europe’s biggest club and pop culture festivals, and often an essential platform for newcomer artists’ next steps.
The Swiss band Soft Loft have been nominated for the festival’s Anchor Award. Selected by a panel of key players in the international music industry, each nominee will perform two shows to convince the jury. „The jury’s focus is on the quality of the coherent overall package: Music, lyrics and performance must be outstanding and independent,“ explains Reeperbahn Festival.
Soft Loft made their first splash in March 2023 with their debut single, Is It Me, quickly catching hearts everywhere. Since then, the band has frequently entered Negative White’s Weekly5 selections. But the band around singer and songwriter Jorina Stamm started even earlier under the name Ellas.
